Abstract

|
Congenital sacrococcygeal teratoma is a rare tumor. This case is reported because of the rarity and its unusual clinical presentation.
A 35-year-old multigravid Mongolian woman was admitted at the 34-week-pregnancy with the condition of hydramnion and labor. Labor started in the occiput presentation and the trunk extraction was difficult
and delayed at the umbilicus, owe to the fetal impacted sacral tumor mass, when the fetus breathed irregularly. Fingers were insertedin the uteruts, the mass was destroyed and delivery was finished. The fetus was dead and male. The specimen was examined by John H. Libcke, Maj. MC, 121 st Evacuation Hospital .and the diagnosis was benign sacro-coccygeal teratoma.
